When the original actuator fails, the transfer case may shift but the front axle never engages, leaving the truck in two wheel drive. This unit restores reliable 4WD operation for daily drivers and work trucks alike.

Built For Performance

Electric actuator design engages the front axle when 4WD is selected

Sealed housing resists water, mud, and road debris intrusion

Direct replacement for the factory front axle actuator location

Restores four wheel drive engagement on K1500 and K2500 trucks

Simple bolt-in installation with factory style connector

Fits These Machines

for Chevy Silverado K1500

for Chevy Silverado K2500

for Chevy Avalanche K1500

for Chevy Avalanche K2500

On-The-Job Use

Restoring 4WD engagement on trucks that will not lock the front axle

Snow, mud, and gravel driving where four wheel drive is needed on demand

Fleet and plow truck maintenance where front axle engagement must be dependable

Diagnosing 4WD faults traced to a failed front axle actuator

Specs At A Glance

Type

Front four wheel drive actuator

Position

Front axle

Vehicle Fit

Chevy Silverado and Avalanche K1500 and K2500

Good To Know

Q: What are the signs of a bad front axle actuator? A: The most common sign is a transfer case that shifts into 4WD while the front wheels never pull, and some trucks store a service 4WD message.
