It applies air pressure to reveal leaks and cracks that are hard to spot by eye. It is aimed at transmission rebuilders, shops, and DIY builders who want to verify drums before installing them.

Built For Performance

Tests both the 35R and 1-2-3-4 drums on 6L80, 6L80E, and 6L90 units

Pressurizes the drum to expose leak paths at seals and piston areas

Helps catch cracks and porosity before the transmission goes back together

Bench-friendly design for use during teardown and rebuild

Works as a pre-assembly check to avoid comebacks after the job

Fits These Machines

for 6L80 transmissions

for 6L80E transmissions

for 6L90 transmissions

On-The-Job Use

Transmission rebuild benches checking drums before assembly

Diagnosing clutch apply and leak complaints traced to the drum

Inspecting used or reman drums before resale or install

Quality checks in shops that rebuild 6L80 family units regularly

Specs At A Glance

Transmission Models

6L80, 6L80E, 6L90

Drums Tested

35R, 1-2-3-4

Function

Leak and crack testing

Tool Type

Bench drum tester

Good To Know

Q: What does this tester actually reveal? A: It pressurizes the drum so leaks at seals, pistons, or cracks show up as pressure loss or visible seepage.
