Good To Know

Q: How do I know when my drive belt needs replacing? A: Slipping, squealing on takeoff, a burnt rubber smell, or visible glazing and fraying all point to a belt that is past its service life. Inspect the belt width against spec and replace it whenever it falls below the wear limit.

Q: Should I clean the clutch faces when fitting a new belt? A: Yes, wiping the sheaves with a clean lint-free cloth removes residue that can cause the new belt to slip. Check for worn rollers or weights at the same time so the fresh belt wears evenly.

Slight variation in finish or dimensions may occur between production runs, and fit can depend on serial number, so confirm compatibility before ordering.
